...or shall I say ice event? We had a fun weekend, the winter weather hit on a Friday night, so no one had to worry about going to work or school the next day! There was a little snow mixed in, but it was mostly ice! It didn't matter to the girls. They were so excited to get outside and play the next morning. We played a little at home, then headed to Papa and Nana's house for some sledding. Shane hooked up the sleds behind his parent's 4-wheeler. Ryan even got in on! And we took Tucker. He was so funny, he ran beside the sleds the entire time!
After Papa and Nana's house we went to my parent's house. Smith's Taverns has the BEST hill for sledding. Everyone in the neighborhood flocks to this hill when we get snow or ice. It is a very steep hill, so I was thinking we would start the kids about halfway up. Nope. Shane took them all the way to the top. I nearly had heart failure a few times as they went off the side or got too close to a tree, but they loved it!
We ended the day with some awesome vegetable soup at my parent's house.
