Today was Morgan's first time ever to go bowling. She was invited to a party for Daniel, a little boy in her class at the ELC.
If you have ever been to a bowling alley, you are very familiar with the smell when you walk in. It is hard to describe, but it isn't a very pleasant smell. Morgan wrinkled her nose up and said "Mommy, this places smells like a BOY!" I laughed so hard...she had a point!
Morg wanted to get right to bowling, so she wasn't overly thrilled with doing the other party stuff first. They served pizza and cake and ice cream. (Morgan managed to put some away!) But the time finally came, and she got to wear those oh-so-attractive bowling shoes and get ready to bowl. It was a little hard for some of them to wait patiently, but they did really well. The people at the alley put up the bumpers so the kids didn't have to worry about gutter balls. And they had a neat little thing shaped like a dinosaur to help kids start their ball down the lane. We were grateful for these because it helped things go a little faster. Overall, I think Morgan really enjoyed bowling!
