Bear, blankie, and baby

Most kids have one lovey, right? Well, not my kid. My sweet little Morgan has three, yes three, lovies. To be fair, blankie is her favorite. My good friend Lisa gave it to her when she was born. And she has not been apart from it ever since. In fact, she had to take it with her every day to her 2 year old preschool class. Mrs. Summer would let her keep it for a little while, then she would put it in Morgan's bag!

Bear came along when Morgan was about 7 months old. Shane and I had gone on a trip to Gatlinburg for our anniversary. We bought Emma a monkey and Morgan got a bear. Right around her first birthday, she started warming up to him...and he was added to her bedtime routine right along with blankie.

Baby made her debut when Morgan was about two. Now, being that she is a little girl, baby dolls have not been in short supply at our house. But Nana and Papa gave her this doll at Christmas. I am not sure what makes this baby different from her other babies, but it is. And she has been sleeping with it ever since. Once, we couldn't find baby, and offered her a very similar replacement until we could find it. Ummm....no....she knew it wasn't her beloved baby, and she wasn't about to accept an imposter!

So, each night, we have to make sure all three items are accounted for...otherwise, life just isn't right for dear Morgan! And each morning, she has to bring all three into the den with her. She puts them on the couch, and then goes on with her day!
